We're really excited to show you some images of the latest model sample which has recently arrived at Authentic HQ of our 1:18 Scale Holden VE Commodore SS V-Series model currently in development.
This 1st shot sample is exactly that - it's the first sample we receive that has been produced using the parts from the die-cast, ABS and PVC injection moulds.
As the images suggest, it's essentially the bare metal die-cast model and parts put together without any further finishing.
This is the last sample we receive in the development process to fine-tune any remaining issues with the model before it goes to the decoration stage for painting and finishing, both internally and externally.
The next sample we receive will be the fully decorated prototype which will be painted and finished almost to production spec for us to provide feedback on, and then we're off and racing!
In the main image you can see the majority of the parts the model is comprised of and the individual sprues, it will be made up of around 190 seperate parts.
While there's some things to fine tune here and there with this sample, overall we're really happy with how development is progressing and it's shaping up to be a really fantastic die-cast model with opening parts for Holden road car collectors.
Based on current progress, we think the development of this model could be completed this year, with the first releases becoming available towards the end of 2022 barring any unforeseen delays.
Production numbers for the first two releases in Ignition Metallic and Phantom Metallic will be set soon so if you haven't placed a pre-order with your local die-cast model stockist or registered your interest for these releases on our website then please do so now to avoid missing out.
