Our First Die-cast Opening Parts Road Car - The 1:18 Holden VE Commodore SS V in Ignition Metallic is Now In Stock
It's a big week for Authentic Collectables.
We're incredibly proud to be releasing our first ever 1:18 scale road car model which has been produced in die-cast with fully opening parts - the Holden VE Commodore SS V in the hero Ignition Metallic colour scheme.
This new model release is now available to purchase online and should be arriving at stockists this week - if it hasn't already.
Dubbed the 'Billion Dollar Baby' when it was first launched in 2006, the Holden VE Commodore was an executive car that arguably represented Holden in Australia at the absolute peak of its powers.
Holden invested seven years of design and development at a reported cost of over 1 billion Australian Dollars into the VE, a full ground up re-design and departure from the existing and dated VZ platform. Ultimately, when examining the VE range on its own merit, it would seem it was money well spent as the then new Commodore became one of the most critically acclaimed and successful cars both on the road and on the race track the brand ever released.

We certainly haven't spent a billion dollars on our 1:18 scale replica of the VE Commodore SS V but 18+ months of development by our research and development team has produced what is an excellent limited edition collectors model, featuring a detailed interior, engine bay, under carriage and beautiful finishing throughout to our usual high standards.
It's a really impressive road car release, the first of many in die-cast coming in the future from us and we think Holden collectors will love it.
