About This Product:
Few names are as deeply woven into the history of Australian motorsport as Dick Johnson Racing and the iconic #17. From Dick Johnson and John French’s unforgettable breakthrough victory in 1981, to Johnson and John Bowe’s triumphs in 1989 and 1994, and Scott McLaughlin and Alexandre Prémat’s victory in 2019, each Bathurst 1000 win has written another chapter in the remarkable history of one of Australia’s most celebrated racing teams.
At the 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000, Brodie Kostecki and Todd Hazelwood added their names to that legacy with an extraordinary last-lap victory in the #17 Shell V-Power Racing Team Ford Mustang GT. After dominating much of the race, a costly pit stop threatened to end their hopes before a determined fightback delivered one of the most dramatic finishes in Bathurst history. As Kostecki crossed the finish line, the emotion swept through the Dick Johnson Racing garage. Tears of joy from Dick Johnson himself, captured just how much this victory meant, remarkably falling on the 50th anniversary of his first Bathurst aboard a Ford.
Adding another poignant layer to this historic triumph, DJR’s fifth Bathurst 1000 victory came 20 years after the passing of Peter Brock, the nine-time Bathurst winner and legendary on-track rival of Dick Johnson. In another remarkable coincidence, the team’s fifth win brought with it the number ‘05’ — forever synonymous with Brock and his extraordinary legacy at Mount Panorama. A fitting connection between two of Australian motorsport’s greatest icons, whose fierce rivalry, mutual respect and enduring contributions helped define an era of the Great Race.

If a model car is marked as a future release on our website then please enquire about placing a pre-order with your local model car / hobby stockist as soon as possible.
Please note, all stockists are seperate businesses to Authentic Collectables, we are suppliers to them. Each stockist has different ways of how they accept pre-orders for future release models.

Register Your Interest For Model Cars Here On Our Website:
You can also register your interest for future model car releases online with us to be notified when they are released.
To do this you need to navigate to the product page of the specific model you're interested in.
Once you're on the model product page, please click on the black 'Register Your Interest' button, enter your email or mobile number in the relevant section and submit the form.
When the model arrives in stock you will receive an advanced notification from us letting you know before anyone else that it is in stock with a link to complete and pay for your order while stock lasts.
Please ensure your email address or mobile number is right before submitting the register your interest form. Unfortunately a confirmation notification isn't sent when you register your interest for models on our website, the only time the system will notify you about that specific model will be when it arrives in stock.
We offer this option due to the amount of time models generally take to produce (usually 6-18 months) so you're not out of pocket until the model actually arrives.
If you need a refresher about what models you've registered your interest for previously, send us an email and we can let you know.
Special Model Car Releases or Pre-Orders:
The above information is correct regarding the vast majority of models we release. However, there are some special editions or exclusives that we announce and release from time to time that may be treated differently, in these cases the relevant ordering information will be listed on the product page.

Depending on the type of product, we also offer a paid pre-order options on our website.
If a product is available for paid pre-order on our website then you will be able to add it to your cart and purchase it like any normal in stock item.
Details about the pre-order will be listed at the top of the product description if it’s available and when we expect it to arrive in our warehouse.
We offer the paid pre-order option online with us for these products because we can predict production and shipping times more accurately and are usually much faster than the model cars to produce.
Of course, if you wish to order these items from your local stockist, please make an enquiry with them.

If a product is in stock then it should now be available at your local Authentic Collectables stockist or you can shop online directly with us and it will usually be shipped on the next business day unless otherwise stated or it's a holiday period.
